‘Sensing Spaces, Perceiving Place’

The two-yearly conference organised by the Academy of Neuroscience for Architecture will be taking place at the Salk Institute in La Jolla San Diego in California on 14th September.

This event will provide the chance to present the initial results of research carried out by Lombardini22 in conjunction with the National Research Council and Neuroscience Department of Parma University in partnership with Professor Rizzolatti and a team composed of Pietro Avanzini, Giovanni Vecchiato, Fausto Caruana and Paolo Presti. Davide Ruzzon, director of TUNED, will be representing Lombardini22 in this research project. The aim of the research is to understand how, during the process of perception, the shape of architectural space activates the emotions through various implicit subconscious sensory-motor functions.
